The Greener Shipping Summit 2018, under the all-embracing title '2020', will be launched by presentations from classification societies and technical directors on the latest developments in the IMO regarding NOx, SOx, CO2 and PM emissions. One session will examine all aspects of scrubbers, including their prospects; scrubber types available, scrubber materials, scrubbers for NBs and retrofits, SCR vs RGR and scrubber investment payback.

Another session will focus on bunkers, lubricants and chemicals, discussing the vital issue of fuel availability and quality, as well as the carbon footprint to 2050, technologies to meet 2050, operational measures to 2050.

With 2020 fast approaching, shipping will have to make the right decisions in regards to the proper option they will have to follow to avoid over spending to meet the new regulations on the horizon.
